Chicago-Based IoT Company Launches the First Smart Outlet to Integrate with Apple HomeKit

Grid Connect, the Naperville-based Internet of Things company, has announced the ConnectSense Smart Outlet, the first "connected outlet" to integrate with the Apple HomeKit.
So what does that mean? It means that this product can plug into any North American electrical outlet - connecting with devices like lights, fans, air conditioners, TVs, coffee machines, dishwashers, ovens, and other household appliances - so that homeowners can easily automate their entire environment by setting up rules, notifications, and schedules. (For example, through the Smart Outlet, users can set it up so that the washer and dryer notifies them when the laundry is complete).
