Smart Outlets Now?
By now it is probably fair to say if you are reading this you have heard of the Internet of Things, the vision of a connected future with automation abound. Stories are written everyday about the future of connected cars, telematics and even self-learning thermostats for one’s home. What if I don’t live in a “smart house” or have any of the new fangled “smart” devices being developed and released on what seems like a daily basis?
Don’t fret; the answer has come in a device that may not be able to connect everything in your home, but can most certainly usher you into connected life.
This week, Grid Connect has announced its ConnectSense Smart Outlet with Apple HomeKit Integration. The outlet is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled and showcases two Internet-connected outlets that enable user control with the ease of their iPhone.
