Home: On #068 – SXSW Interactive, with Mike Wolf
ConnectSense was recently displayed at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive in Austin, Texas. The SXSW Interactive is a showcase for rising technology and innovation. In this year’s event, smart home devices were a very hot commodity. The Digital Media Zone’s podcast “Home: On,” was covering this event live this year and the host Richard Gunther was able to speak to Adam Justice of ConnectSense about Apple HomeKit compatible devices at the event. The first key smart home device mentioned was the Smart Outlet; ConnectSense is one of the only fully functional smart outlets on the market. They discussed the positive sales trends of the Smart Outlet as well as the positive feedback they have received thus far. Richard Gunther mentioned that the ConnectSense app made him excited about ConnectSense products before he even had one in his hands because ConnectSense has the best rules engine out of any of the current HomeKit apps that are available, especially with an app that comes with an over-the-counter product. The rules engine really allows the user to fully control any smart home device with more options that simply turning something on or off. The ConnectSense app is groundbreaking as it is truly the ultimate tool for controlling all of your smart home devices.
